Vision
Resilient and Innovative Bridges and Structures (RIBS) research group focuses on improving our understanding of the behavior of civil infrastructures under various extreme load conditions. Headed by Dr. Muntasir Billah, Associate Professor of Civil (Structural) Engineering at the University of Calgary, the RIBS group is working towards the development of resilient civil infrastructures to ensure reduced risk of damage and collapse under extreme loading. Our primary research is drawn towards the development and application of advanced and novel materials in civil engineering structures and their experimental investigation, advances in numerical and experimental earthquake engineering along with the development of advanced modeling tools and techniques.

About Us
